Situated on the island’s south-western shore, Maho Bay Beach is not the place to visit for visitors looking to relax. Due to its location right behind the Princess Juliana International Airport, planes fly right over the beach as they approach the runway to land. Since beach access and plane-watching is free, there’s no shame in spending a bit on the nearby bars; Bamboo Bernie’s and Sunset Beach Bar are the most popular.
